Inbecto

Privacy policy

Who this is from

Inbecto is business software made by Lywin. Companies use it to run their quotations, invoices, projects, staff and payroll. This page covers the Inbecto website, the workspace each company gets at its own address, and the Inbecto apps for phones and computers.

The company that opens a workspace decides what is entered into it and is responsible for that information. Lywin keeps and processes it on that company's behalf. If you use Inbecto because your employer or a supplier does, they are the ones to ask first about your information.

What is collected

  • Your account: name, email address, phone number and password (the password is stored only in scrambled form).
  • What the company enters: customers, leads, quotations, invoices, payments, projects, tasks, expenses, vendors, documents and photos.
  • Staff records the company keeps: employee details, attendance, leave and payroll, including bank and tax details needed to pay salaries.
  • Location, only at the moment someone checks in or out for attendance or records a site visit, and only if they allow it.
  • Photos from a site camera, if the company sets one up.
  • Basic technical records: when you signed in, and errors, so the service can be kept working and secure.

Inbecto does not show advertising, does not sell information to anyone, and does not track you across other websites or apps.

What the apps ask your device for

  • Location: to record where an attendance check-in or site visit happened.
  • Camera: to take site photos, or to use a phone as a site camera.
  • Microphone: for voice commands, when you tap the microphone.
  • Photos and files: to attach a file you choose, or to save a document you download.

Each is asked for only when you use that feature, and you can refuse or turn it off in your device settings. The rest of the app keeps working.

What is kept on your device

So the app can open without a connection, it keeps a copy on your device of the pages and records you have looked at, and any new record you add while offline until it has been sent. These copies are removed when you sign out. Anyone who can unlock your device and open the app could see them, so sign out on a shared device.

Who else handles it

Lywin uses these services to run Inbecto. Each receives only what it needs for its job.

  • Supabase: the database, file storage and sign-in.
  • Vercel: hosting of the website and app.
  • Cloudflare: reading site camera photos, and answering questions put to the assistant. For a question, a short summary of the company's figures and the names involved is sent to be answered.
  • The maker of your browser or phone (Google or Apple): turning speech into text when you use voice.
  • Razorpay: card and UPI payments for the subscription, where online payment is switched on. Card details go to Razorpay and are never seen or stored by Inbecto.

Information may be processed on servers outside India by these providers.

If you connect Claude

You can connect your workspace to Claude, the AI assistant made by Anthropic. This only happens if you add Inbecto in Claude yourself, sign in, and press Allow. Claude does not connect to Inbecto directly: it talks to a separate connector service run by Lywin, which keeps your sign-in to itself.

Once connected, Claude can look up the records your own role can see in your own workspace, and when you ask it to, make quotations and invoices and add or change records such as products, leads, tasks, expenses and payments received.

What Claude reads to answer you is sent to Anthropic and handled under Anthropic's own terms and privacy policy. Inbecto does not send Anthropic anything unless you ask Claude something that needs it.

You can disconnect at any time from Connect Claude in the app, or from Claude's own settings. After that Claude loses access within the hour.

How long it is kept

Records stay for as long as the company keeps its workspace. Site camera photos are deleted automatically after the number of days the company sets. When a company closes its workspace it can ask for everything in it to be deleted.

Seeing, correcting or deleting your information

You can see and change your own name, phone number and password inside the app. To have an account or a whole workspace deleted, or to ask what is held about you, write to the contact below; the steps are on the Delete your account page (inbecto.com/delete-account). If you are an employee or a customer of a company that uses Inbecto, ask that company; it controls the records about you.

Security

Each company's workspace is separate, and the database only returns a company's records to that company's own signed-in people. Roles decide who can see money, payroll and settings. Connections are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure; if something goes wrong that affects your information, the company concerned will be told.

Children

Inbecto is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and workspace administrators are told.
