When something goes wrong

Fixing a problem

Check-in says it cannot read my location, or that I am away from the office

Turn on location (GPS) and allow it for Inbecto or your browser, step outside or near a window, and try again. If you are at the right place and it still says away, tell your office so they can check the place's location.

  • "Could not read your location": turn on Location in the phone's quick settings. Then allow location for the browser (Chrome: the lock icon by the address > Permissions > Location) or for the Inbecto app (phone Settings > Apps > Inbecto > Permissions). Try again.
  • "This browser cannot share its location": use Chrome or the Inbecto app.
  • Away from the office but you are there: GPS can be off by a few hundred metres indoors. Wait a minute near a window and try again. If it keeps happening, tell your office: the check-in place may be set in the wrong spot or with too small a distance.
  • Refused outside your places: your company allows check-ins only at its places. Ask your office if you work at a new site.
