Data, privacy and security

Who can see your data (only your company), how it is backed up, the devices you are signed in on, and how to close your workspace and delete its data if you ever want to.

The screens

Your account

Your own name, password, devices and sign-in.

  1. Signed-in devices: sign out all other devices, or sign out everywhere, for example after losing a phone or using a shared computer.
  2. You: your name, your role and your company.
  3. This device: settings kept on this phone or computer only, such as the sound and vibration when money comes in or a quotation is accepted.

How do I close my company's workspace and delete its data?

A company administrator opens Your account and presses Delete this workspace. After an offer to download a copy of everything, it is deleted 30 days later, and can be cancelled until then.

On screen: Your account

  1. Press your name at the bottom of the menu to open Your account (on a phone: More, then Your account and devices).
  2. Under Delete this workspace, press Delete this workspace.
  3. Press Download a copy: one file with every customer, lead, quotation, invoice, payment, project, vendor and employee record. Keep it safe; after deletion nothing can be recovered. Uploaded files stay where they are until then, so download any you need from Documents.
  4. Type the workspace name, confirm with the code we email you (or your password), and press Ask for deletion. We email you a receipt with the date.
  5. The workspace keeps working for 30 days. Changed your mind? Press Cancel the deletion on the same page before then.
  6. After 30 days the Inbecto team deletes the workspace with everything in it: customers, leads, quotations, invoices, payments, projects, team access and uploaded files.

This cannot be undone once it is done. Lywin keeps the tax invoices for your Inbecto subscription as the law requires.

The page says it is not switched on yet? Raise a help request and we will do it for you.

Just stopping for now? Simply do not renew. The workspace waits with your data until you pay again.

On screen: Your account

  1. Press your name at the bottom of the menu (on a phone: More, then Your account and devices).
  2. Signed-in devices lists each browser and phone you are signed in on, with when it was last used. This device is the one in your hand.
  3. Press Sign out beside a device to sign it out, Sign out all other devices to keep only this one, or Sign out everywhere to sign out this one too.

A device you sign out has to sign in again to open anything new. A page it already has open may keep showing for up to an hour.

This device holds settings for the phone or computer in your hand: the fingerprint lock on the phone app, and the sound and vibration for good news.

Quick answer

Can other companies or Lywin see my data?

Other companies cannot: the database only returns your company's records to your team. Lywin's platform team can reach workspaces to run the service and answer your help requests.

  • Each company has its own workspace. Every record is tied to your company, and the database refuses to return it to anyone outside your team.
  • Inside your company, roles and access switches decide who sees money, payroll and settings.
  • Shared links (quotations, invoices, payslips, client project pages) open only for whoever has the link; you can turn project links off.
  • Lywin, the company behind Inbecto, can reach workspaces to keep the service running and to answer your help requests. The privacy policy at inbecto.com/privacy explains what is collected and why, under India's DPDP Act.

Quick answer

Is my data backed up?

Yes. The whole database is backed up every night, encrypted, and kept for two weeks. If something was deleted by mistake, raise a help request quickly.

The database is copied every night, encrypted, and each copy is kept for 14 days. If you delete something by mistake, raise a help request as soon as you can with what was deleted and when; recent data can often be recovered from the backup.

For your own copy, download reports as Excel regularly.
