Site reports, workers and cameras

What happens on site each day. Site supervisors file a daily site report with progress, photos and problems, from a phone. Wage workers keeps daily-wage labour, their attendance and what they are owed. Site cameras turn an old phone or a CCTV camera into regular photos of the site.

Site cameras

Cameras on site and the pictures they send.

  1. Each camera on your sites, with its latest photo, the people it counted and the daily report it drafted from the photos.
  2. Add camera starts one. The easiest is an old Android phone: add a camera, open its link on the phone, press Start and mount it facing the work. Any camera that can send a photo to a web address works too.
  3. The note at the bottom: put up a CCTV board at each site and tell your team. Photos are private to your company and deleted after the days you set on each camera; people are counted, not identified.

How do I set up a site camera (an old phone or CCTV)?

Cameras > Add camera. Easiest: open the camera's link on an old Android phone, press Start and mount it facing the work. A CCTV camera can send photos by snapshot address, FTP, push or EZVIZ.

On screen: Site cameras

  1. Open Cameras and press Add camera. Name it (for example "Sharma site - front") and choose the project.
  2. Choose how it connects:
  • Phone: open the camera's link on the phone that will watch the site (Chrome on Android works best), press Start camera, keep it plugged in and mounted facing the work.
  • Snapshot address: a CCTV camera's photo URL with its username and password.
  • FTP or push: set the address shown in the camera's own settings (web page, iVMS, SmartPSS or KVMS). Works over a 4G hotspot.
  • EZVIZ: the serial number and verification code from the label. Turn off "Image encryption" in the EZVIZ app first.
  1. Set Photo every (minutes), work hours (one photo an hour after hours) and Keep photos for (days).

Open a camera to see its day: Play the day, people seen by hour, and safety notes. AI reading counts people, describes the work and spots missing helmets and hazards, and can draft a site report.

Put up a "CCTV in operation" board at each site and tell your team photos are taken. People are counted, not identified, and old photos are deleted after the days you set.

When something goes wrong

Fixing a problem

My site camera is not sending photos

For a phone: keep the camera page open, the screen on and the phone charging, with data on. For CCTV: check the address, username and password, that the camera can reach the internet, and for EZVIZ that image encryption is off.

Phone camera

  • The camera page must stay open with Start pressed. Android may stop it if the screen locks or the battery saver is on: keep the phone charging and turn off battery saver for Chrome.
  • Check mobile data or Wi-Fi.
  • Press Send a photo now to test.

CCTV camera

  • Snapshot address: open it in a browser on the same network; it should show a picture. Check the username and password.
  • FTP: check the server, username and password exactly as shown on the camera's settings in Inbecto; use passive mode and leave the folder empty if asked.
  • EZVIZ: turn off "Image encryption" for that camera in the EZVIZ app.
  • Make a New key if you think the camera's link was shared.

Cameras are a beta feature. If photos still do not arrive, raise a help request with the camera's name.
